I chose Shutter Island, by Dennis Lehane, as my reading book because of its genre and reviews. I love reading mystery and suspense novels, so when I heard about Shutter Island, I immediately wanted to read it. Also, the year the book takes place in appeals to me, as well as the location of the book-an insane asylum. All of these aspects compiled into one make this a book I am sure to remember.
