I choose this book because I have heard that it was a moving and inspiring story. The book is set during World War II and I am interested in learning more about this time period since I know little about the subject. The survival story the character goes through during World War II that is summarized on the back cover persuaded me to read it because it sounded so intriguing. I am excited to begin what seems like a gripping novel.
